MLLS & WUCL Present Annual Child Abuse Reporting CLE

Please Join Mary Leonard Law Society and Willamette University College of Law Career and Professional Development for our annual Child Abuse Reporting CLE, presented by Katie Suver of the Marion County District Attorney's Office.

Where: Willamette University College of Law, Room 218, 245 Winter Street SE, Salem OR 97301

When: Monday, December 10 from 12:00pm to 1:15 pm

Cost: CLE is $15 for OWLS members; $20 for non-OWLS members; $10 for Judicial Clerks; and free to students, WUCL staff and professors, and to those not seeking CLE credit. Brownbag lunches are encouraged. Email maryleonardlawsociety@gmail.com for more information.

A big 'THANK YOU' to everyone who turned out for the December 2012 Child Abuse Reporting CLE!

Winter is a particularly difficult time for many in need in our community. The Marion-Polk Food Share plays a critical role in providing resources and assistance to so many. Because we understand that every little bit helps, the Mary Leonard Law Society donated the proceeds of the December 2012 CLE to the Marion-Polk Food Share - over $400 - and attendees generously offered non-perishable and canned food items.

Although the holiday season is over, the need is not. Please join us in giving to the Food Share this winter!

MARY LEONARD LAW SOCIETY MEMBERS HONORED FOR SERVICE CONTRIBUTIONS

On November 9, 2011, Mary Leonard members Presiding Magistrate Jill Tanner and Pro Tem Magistrate Allison Boomer were honored by the Oregon State Bar for their service contributions.

Presiding Magistrate Tanner was awarded the President's Membership Service Award for her many mentoring and service activities, including participation on the Convocation on Equality's diversity directory committee.

Pro Tem Magistrate Boomer received the Oregon New Lawyers Division Member Service Award in recognition of her efforts in engaging and energizing new attorneys in both Salem and Portland.
